Saturday Session– Greenwood Campus: Saturdays, beginning August 7, 2010 through August 28,  2010 (4 weeks of instruction) Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with a 30 minute lunch break (24 contact hours) Fee: $799.00

Course Description:

This course will explore the duties of the physical therapy aide such as preparing treatment areas, ordering devices and supplies, transporting patients, assisting with ambulation and gait training, assisting with therapeutic exercise, assisting with physical therapy agents, and modalities.

This is an excellent short-term course for individuals wanting to break into the medical field or add skill sets to their current resumes.

Certificates of attendance will be awarded only to those who attend a minimum of 75% of the class sessions. Proficiency or non-proficiency status will be denoted on the certificate. Students are required to master necessary skills and attend the final class to receive proficiency status.
