Financial assistance guidance is provided to all students enrolled at MedTech College. Individual financial planning appointments are commenced with each student.
Applying for Financial Aid
Students who wish to utilize Financial Aid will need to complete a short series of steps in order to do so. All students who wish to use any type of Financial Aid must first apply for a 4-digit Federal PIN. This PIN will be used to complete each step of the Financial Aid process online. Upon completing your PIN, you will need to complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Several students take advantage of the Federal Direct Loans. If you wish to use Federal Direct Loans, you will need to complete the online Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling. See the links below in order to complete these steps.
Choosing your Campus
Each MedTech College Campus has a specific Federal School Code. They are as follows:
- Indianapolis: 007362
- Greenwood: E01386
- Fort Wayne: E01506
- Lexington: E01749
Federal 4-digit PIN
By clicking on the link below, you will be directed to the Federal PIN site. From here, you will see a menu that allows you to apply for a new PIN, request a duplicate PIN, and several other options pertaining to your PIN. It takes approximately 24-48 hours to activate your PIN. An activated PIN is required to complete the Federal Direct Loan Counseling and Master Promissory Note.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
By clicking on the link below, you will be directed to the FAFSA website. From here, you will be able to complete a brand new FAFSA, correct a previously submitted FAFSA, and several other options. You will need your 4 digit PIN to complete the process. If you are a dependent student, your parent(s) will need a PIN as well. It takes approximately 48-72 hours for this information to reach the school once accurately entered. In order to apply for the Indiana State Grants, the FAFSA must be submitted on or before March 10, 2010.
Federal Entrance Counseling and Direct Loans
By clicking on the link below, you will be directed to the Federal Direct Loan site. From here, you will have several options. For your first visit to the site to complete the Entrance Counseling (required for all new student loan borrowers) and your Direct Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN), you will begin by signing in with your activated PIN. This process will take approximately 25-35 minutes. It will take approximately 24-48 hours for this information to reach your school.

What to do next?
Students are encouraged to meet with the Financial Planning office to seek assistance. You can receive assistance with completion of any of these steps as well as help with payment plans, private loans, as well as other items. Please know that if you do not have access to a computer or internet, your Financial Aid Analyst will assist you in completing this information during your Financial Planning meeting. All forms are available in hard copy upon request.
