TWO NEW CONCENTRATIONS AVAILBLE FOR BIOTECHNOLOGY STUDENTS!!

MedTech College Biotechnology students can now choose to specialize his/her degree even more! Starting this September, students can choose to earn a degree in the following concentrations:

Basic Biotechnology
Bioterrorism
Forensics

This Associate of Applied Science degree program provides both theoretical and practical knowledge of the field. Biotechnology Associate degree has emerged as a major contributor to the advancement of pharmaceuticals, the understanding of disease processes, enhancements in agriculture and applications for the environment in which we live. This program prepares students for laboratory technician positions in research in the following areas:

Cellular process
Genetic engineering
DNA analysis
Molecular research
Environmental bioremediation

Graduates of the entry-level programs from our biotechnology schools will be able to work in many exciting areas of the industry, such as human genetic research, disease cure breakthroughs, enhanced crop production, genome sequencing projects, environmental pollution management and pharmaceutical research.

Upon graduation, degree-holders may seek employment in pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing companies, as well as specialized laboratories that provide sterility control, quality control and validation. This program is offered at all Campuses.
